Welcome to the Department of Chemical Engineering Welcome to the MTU Chemical Engineering Department Alumni WWW page! This welcome page serves as the focal point for topics of interest to Michigan Tech Chemical Engineering alumni. The monthly electronic newsletter is posted on this site a couple of days after being sent out to alumni and friends of the department via electronic mail.

The department has recently moved into most of the third floor of the Chemical Sciences Building, and pictures of the new space will be posted periodically on this site. Additionally, we would welcome hearing news from any alumni about career moves, family issues, or what things were like when you were at Tech. Finally, if you will be visiting Houghton or Michigan Tech, please send us an email note so that we can give you a tour of the department. Other items of interest will be posted periodically, so please check back to this site often!

New Michigan Tech Alumni Database

Michigan Tech is moving and enhancing our alumni e-mail directory on the Web to make it easier for you to search and to allow you to update your own information. While the current directory includes a series of static Web pages, the new directory will allow you to search Michigan Tech's database by name and/or class year to find your friends and classmates.

Please proceed to the new location on our secure server at https://www.banweb.mtu.edu/alumni/mtu/ACURINFO and make sure your e-mail address is there and that it is accurate. While you are there, you can also check your street address and phone numbers.

Once at that page, you can:

* Enter up to two e-mail addresses (home and work).

* Tell us whether you would like your e-mail address(es) included on the Web-based alumni e-mail directory. You can choose to have one or both or neither address included.

* Let us know which address you would prefer Michigan Tech to use for sending you e-mail.

We plan to use e-mail to inform alumni about activities and alumni chapter events in their areas, and to provide news from individual departments. Using our database, we will be able to send news concerning your specific geographic area and from your department. You will always have the opportunity to opt out of receiving future messages, should you choose.

In the meantime, explore the electronic services that we already offer, beginning with the alumni Web site at http://www.alumni.edu/. There you will find the current issue of the TechAlum weekly e-mail newsletter and instructions on how to subscribe. You will see our jobs page, with positions targeted specifically to alumni. You will find DigitalTech, a section with many pictures from Tech and the Keweenaw.
