Internet Links of Standards-Making
Organizations and Other Sources of RAGAGEP*
* Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering
Practice
The following is a list of organizations that promulgate regulations, codes, standards,
guidelines, recommended practices, etc. It is by no means comprehensive, but may be of
benefit to someone searching for a standard on a particular topic. If you would like
to suggest a link, contact the webmaster.
Links that provide either a publications list or an index of available standards are
marked with a icon. Some
links provide key-word based search engines, that can aid in locating standards on a
particular subject. Those indexes without a search engine can still be searched using the
"Edit Find" feature of your browser. The National Standards System Network
(NSSN) is a developmental stage project to link the databases of participating standards
organizations. Relevant databases that can currently be searched are those of ASTM and
API. Watch this link for further development.
