Mr.
James C. Crowder
Mr.
James C. Crowder, a native of Eau Claire, Michigan, earned
a degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Tech in 1963.
While at Michigan Tech, he served as president of the AIChE
Student Chapter and was a member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity.
He joined Grain Processing Corporation after graduation in
1963. He worked in several areas of the company, including
business development, production, engineering, environmental
control, purchasing, safety, quality control, and product
research and development. Mr. Crowder was promoted to Vice
President in 1986, to Senior Vice President in charge of manufacturing
in 1989, to Executive Vice President in 1996 and to President
in 2001. In 1972 he formed Crowder Properties, which engages
in real estate investment and management. In 1989, he completed
the University of Iowa Executive Development Program. Mr.
Crowder is a member of the following: Wesley United Methodist
Church, Muscatine Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International,
American Management Association, The Industrial Research Institute,
Grain Processing Corporation’s Board of Directors and
Muscatine Power and Water’s Board of Directors. He was
a Co-Chair of the Girl Scouts’ Camp Sacajawea Maintenance
Committee from 1975-1984. Mr. Crowder was President of Geneva
Golf and Country Club from 1985 to 1987, and has served as
Chair of the club’s Finance Committee since 1987. In
1997, he served on the Iowa Department of Economic Development
Committee to develop the Iowa Plan, with the goal of improving
the quality of life for all Iowans. |
