Liquid-Liquid Extraction Column

In this countercurrent immiscible liquid-liquid extraction column, acetic acid is removed from an Isopar M mineral oil feed stream using water as the solvent. The feed composition and feed and solvent flow rates are varied. The total number of equilibrium stages and height of a transfer unit are determined.
